My father was in the US military, so I have lived in many different places in my life and exposed to different cultures, races, religions, and people. I was raised Southern Baptist, then Catholic, and then Born Again Christian. I now consider myself Spiritual, being able to accept and understand other people’s religious beliefs, but finding my own connection with Spirit and God as a result of the work that I do and the gifts that I was given.
During my teenage years I realized that I simply “knew” things that other people didn’t. I also had lots of “interesting” dreams at the time. In one of those dreams, I was given a gift because it was my birthday. I opened the gift and in it there was a sword. A Voice then told me to raise the sword and I could ask any question and get the answer. I was told by Psychics at the time that I had access to the Akashic Records – the consciousness records of the present, past, and future.
I soon found my “knowing” to be very disconcerting as I didn’t know how to handle knowing the truth of a situation or person and continue to “play along with life” as if I didn’t. As any teenager, I just wanted to “be normal,” I asked God to please take my sensing and knowing away. And He did. It was during these teenage years, at about age 16, that I met my spiritual teacher in this lifetime, Marilyn Naylor. Marilyn is a Metaphysical Counselor and Psychic. Marilyn is still a very valuable person in my life and she has been in my life since then. She has taught me ethics, to not be afraid of my gifts, how to use them properly, to make sure that I was respected, and that I work with integrity and purpose in all things I do. Fortunately, I was able to once again get in touch with my gifts and allow them to flow, however I am no longer bombarded with information, whether I want it or not, but mostly have to ask/seek out the information for which I am looking.
With my gift of being able to "read" other people's energy fields, together with some knowledge that I have about the mind-body connection, I grew into a place where I now own my gift fully and wish to help others with and through my gift. I feel that the the world needs healing, starting at the individual level on up, and I feel that it is part of my mission to assist with that venture. In accordance with that, first and foremost, I do work on myself so that I am ever evolving, changing, and growing as I help my clients to do the same.
